Spotify Now Available in India, Apps Show Up on App Store, Google Play

The program is free to download, of course, make it Android, iPhone, or Windows 10. Spotify can also be giving Indian users an elongated taste of its offering, as many of the worldwide restrictions on the free grade — restricted song skips and no individual song selection — don’t appear to apply in India for today, although that may change.
There’s one major difference between the Spotify app on Android and iOS right now. You can not sign up for the subscription-based offering Spotify Premium on Apple or Windows devices, but you’re still free to play whatever music you please. (Spotify, just like Netflix, doesn’t offer premium subscriptions via the App Store to prevent paying Apple a cut of the fee.) Once you login, Spotify will ask you to pick music you like, to be able to better recommend other things based on its algorithms.

In the time of writing, getting a Spotify Premium subscription seems to be working on the Android app, though it sometimes reveals an error stating”Spotify is currently not available in your state”. To eliminate the error, tap Access Premium from Spotify, tap the profile icon at the top and choose Try Premium Free.

Spotify has customised its navigate section — known as”Search” because the program refresh in April last year — to suit Indian tastes, together with segments like Bollywood, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu music upfront alongside genres and collections like pop, romance, party, hip-hop, R&B, K-pop, reggae, work out, chill, focus, sleeping, summer, dinner, jazz, gambling, soul, classical, latin, metal, kids, blues, funk, punk, travel, comedy, country, and folk & acoustic amongst others. Spotify also provides access to podcasts.

Music you like — with the heart icon — will appear in’Your Library’ on the Spotify program, wherein you are able to sort stuff by playlists, artists, records, and podcasts. You can make your own playlists, needless to say, and Spotify will recommend songs to add to your playlist by the name you choose.

Earlier on Tuesday, we reported that prices for Spotify Premium had been revealed. Along with this Rs. 119 per month program, which places it nearly on level with Apple Music, you might even purchase one day, seven days, and one, five and six weeks of Spotify for Rs. 13, Rs. 39, Rs. 129, Rs. 389, along with Rs. 719, respectively. And if you like, it is possible to pay for a complete year of Spotify upfront, for Rs. 1,189.

There is a half-off Spotify student membership. Sadly however, there doesn’t appear to be a Spotify Family subscription available at this time.
