Renault has started dispatching the soon-to-be-launched Captur crossover to its showrooms across India.

As mentioned earlier, the Captur for India is based on the M0 platform which also underpins the Duster. It is 4,329mm long, 1,813mm wide and 1,613mm high, and has a wheelbase of both 2,673mm. Ground clearance is currently at 210mm. The Captur for India will come with two engine options, the familiar 1.5-litre K9K diesel great for 110hp which also powers the Renault Duster as well as the Nissan Terrano, as well as the 1.5-litre gas which churns out 106hp and 142Nm of torque.

Security features on the crossover include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist. Renault has said that the Captur is also certified for esophageal and lateral collision.
