Reliance Jio at a clarification has stated that they have not launched any program called JioCoin. The telecom brand has also said that it might take legal actions against those who solicit to make investments under their name.
In a statement released by Reliance Jio, it stated: “Any such apps utilizing the JioCoin name are fake and people are advised to refrain from dealing with any of them.” Moreover, no affiliates or associates of the company are connected with the JioCoin program.
Recently, news reports concerning Jio’s investment in cryptocurrency were floating around on the internet. Some publications even pointed out that the JioCoin launching was said to happen in 2018.
Cryptocurrency in the last few months has seen a surge, especially with bitcoin rallying high in the digital money market. But, it hasn’t yet been approved by the apex bodies of this Indian authorities like the Reserve Bank of India.
Bitcoin, Ethereum, were among the few cryptocurrencies which became quite well known in the electronic currency industry.
