Earlier in the year, we reported that Every Nintendo Switch shipped with an Easter Egg that Let You play NES Golf on the console to Get one day at the year – that day being the death anniversary of former Nintendo President Satoru Iwata.
It appears with Nintendo Change firmware upgrade 4.0.0 has removed this gesture to the erstwhile industry stalwart.
“Flog was stubbed: official code for launch it had been eliminated from the home menu, and all of code has been overwritten with garbage. Thus, even tries to launch it manually will lead to loader returning error 0xA09,” claims SwitchBrew – a site devoted to homebrew efforts on the Nintendo Switch.
The name ID ‘flog’ called a fully-fledged NES emulator on the Nintendo Switch along with NES Golf.
Prior to the Nintendo Switch being revealed, the company believed it to be the last project Iwata was involved in.
“I don’t have many specifics on the device but I have some background for it and some PR techniques they’ll use for it. A thing to notice about this gadget is that much of its creation was launched in 2014 and many [sic] of the things that I list was outlined by the late Satoru Iwata before his passing.
