Netflix for iOS Finally Gets Smart Downloads Feature

Netflix has finally brought the Smart Downloads Attribute to the Program’s iOS version, after originally launching it for the Android app back in July last year.

The Smart Downloads feature is now live on the Netflix program for iOS and we could verify the same. The download management feature is aimed at lessening the hassle whilst managing content downloads, as it automatically queues up a new event for offline viewing when users are finished watching an older individual in the collection.

The Smart Downloads feature only works when users are connected to a Wi-Fi system, which means you doesn’t have to worry about accidentally finishing their mobile data after downloading articles from Netflix. As for the way the feature actually works, well, it is going to determine the series and the episodes users are watching and then decides when to trigger the automatic download action. Take such as users have downloaded the first 3 episodes of a series. Once they are finished watching the first episode, the Smart Downloads feature automatically starts downloading the fourth episode.

More importantly, the Smart Downloads feature simplifies the very first episode after it has been watched before the fourth episode is lined for downloading, making certain users don’t run out of storage space. But keep in mind that if you’re into binge-watching a TV series and want to watch it in 1 go, the Smart Downloads feature isn’t for you, mainly since it simplifies a previously viewed event to free up space. But, an individual can always decide to disable or enable it to better suit their content consumption habits.

Here is how you can do it:

Method 1: From the Program Preferences

Open the Netflix program and tap the’More’ option at the bottom of the screen

Once there, tap on’App Settings’

Below the’Downloads’ header, switch the toggle into enable/disable the Smart Downloads attribute

Strategy 2: From the Download Section

Netflix claims it needs users to spend less time handling their downloads and invest more time really consuming content, something that the Smart Downloads feature will help them achieve.
