Lamborghini’s Urus ‘super-SUV’ will be launched in India on January 11, 2018, a bit over a month following its global unveiling at its mother plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.

While official pricing is only going to be announced on January 11, we can affirm that the Urus is going to probably be priced (sans options that is) under Rs 3 crore.

The Urus is going to be powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with power and torque ratings of 650hp at 6,800rpm and 850Nm at 2,240-4,500rpm respectively. Power is delivered to all four wheels and the rear-wheel-steering system in the Aventador S will also feature here. Lamborghini asserts the Urus is the world’s fastest SUV with a 0-100kph period of just 3.6sec, and 0-200kph taking all of 12.8sec.

The Urus will play a pivotal role in enlarging Lamborghini’s global sales and it’s anticipated to assist increase the carmaker’s revenue in India too.
