It really depends on the person playing the game. Much things are being said that online gaming is having a bad effect on avid gamers because of many reasons. These reasons are why relatives of those concerned are trying to distance them away from playing on the internet. Some of the problems they have with addicted online gamers are their health status. These problems are lack of sleep, (sometimes they don’t even sleep) barely eating, they tend to become sluggish and get easily irritated, they also don’t get enough exercise or body movements while they are playing, and mostly, they’d rather stay put and play on their PCs rather than go to other important endeavors.
It is only addicting if you let it to. While I watched programs and documentaries about these things, they’ve observed that what makes the online games addicting is because of how much the players can express their feelings in the game, and also achieve and control their characters that they’ve built up. Through this playing online, they become powerful in their own sense even though in reality, they’re hardly the person that their character depicts. Some of them (how poor they are) will do everything to just even play in a computer shop or internet cafe. In our country, regardless of social status, every addicted gamer will exchange food just to use a computer, mostly for playing. We can control our playing just by using a computer moderately and doing more important stuff. A game is never addicting as long as we don’t let the game play us.
