Huawei P20 and P20 Pro were Established on Tuesday at an event in Paris, France.
To remember, the company had introduced the Huawei P20 Lite earlier this past month in many European markets, so we already know all about it. The British giant said its newest P-Series smartphones comprise AI-powered camera features, with all the optics ‘co-engineered’ with Leica. Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu at the event said the firm skipped the P11 moniker and jumped directly to P20 as the most recent models had major improvements over the previous generation. Yu also revealed a new logo for the corporation. Yu in the event also spoke about the design aesthetic of their new Huawei P20 and P20 Professional smartphones, asserting they have ‘seamless surfaces’ to touch, and highly symmetrical form variable to see. The colour of these smartphones was looked at closely, Yu explained, with ‘nature-inspired’ pearlescent effects giving the phone a different color depending on the angle it was viewed from. Both phones will soon be available in four colour variations – Graphite Black, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold (gradient colors), and Twilight (gradient colours). Each comes with different, colour-matched themes.

The Huawei P20 price was set at EUR 649 (approximately Rs. 52,200), while the P20 Pro price has been set at EUR 899 (roughly Rs. 72,300). Both smartphones are said to be instantly available worldwide, but we can expect more details on this front in the not too distant future.
Huawei P20, P20 Pro specifications and attributes
The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are dual-SIM smartphones that operate EMUI 8.1 according to Android 8.1 Oreo. They also encourage Google ARCore plus a profoundly customised Google Assistant. The combination gives it superior low-light photography functionality, the company said. On the front, the Huawei P20 sports a 24.8-megapixel camera. The business is touting front camera characteristics that help take better selfies. The smartphone also comes with a 3D portrait light effect. Huawei cites DxOMark to say the P20 has the ideal smartphone camera ever, with a general rating of 102, a photo score of 107, along with a movie score of 94, beating out the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S9. Shortly afterwards, Yu shown the P20 Guru has better DxOMark scores, with an overall score of 109, a photo score of 114, along with a video rating of 98.
Coming to the highlight of the launch, is that the triple rear camera setup of the Huawei P20 Pro. The next, bears a 40-megapixel RGB 1/1.7-inch detector, while the next bears a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor. Between the larger lenses, lie a laser transmitter and receiver, to get faster autofocus, in addition to a Leica colour temperature sensor. The camera includes a light sensitivity up to ISO 102400 – exactly the same as the Canon 5D Mark IV, the company says. This gives it even better low-light performance than the P20, even in 1 lux. Alongside, Huawei found its Apple AirPods clone, telephone Huawei FreeBuds. They’re wireless earbuds who have their own charging case, and offering 10 hours of playback when fully charged.
