Huawei has started rolling out EMUI 9.0 OS based on Android 9 Pie to P20 series of Tablets.
The new update brings all of the Pie goodness including full-screen gestures and a new UI. The EMUI 9.0 update also brings features like GPU Turbo 2.0, HiVision visual research, Password Vault, Digital Balance dashboard, and more. The EMUI 9.0 update is rolling out currently only to Chinese users, and global users might need to wait a bit before the rollout starts internationally.
The Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro $59,999 users are receiving the EMUI 9.0 upgrade based on Android Pie, the company declared on Weibo on Friday. The upgrade is rolling out over-the-air in China, so it could be a while before it reaches users all. Last month, Huawei had commenced the rollout of EMUI 9.0 to eight of its smartphones, and also the P20 and P20 Pro were part of that record.
As previously mentioned, EMUI 9.0 brings GPU Turbo 2.0, which is designed to optimise intensive workloads and provide an on-demand performance increase into the apparatus while decreasing energy intake. Additionally, it brings a new Password Vault which helps users store their encrypted password with fingerprint or face for various services. There’s also an Uninterrupted Gaming Mode to meet the requirements of mobile gamers.
EMUI 9.0 also brings a brand new Digital Balance dashboard which allows users to monitor device usage metrics and let them set the use quota for each program. Using onboard AI capacities, EMUI 9.0 brings HiVision that enables the camera app to recognise key temples, paintings, and even constructions surrounding the environment and provide users with the appropriate information by means of a layer of augmented reality. Other features include new navigation gestures, multiple backup choices, one-handed controls, and enhanced Huawei Share attributes.
