captain marvel poster Captain MarvelDisney and Marvel Studios have released the premier video tease of its own very first female-led superhero film — starring Oscar-winner Brie Larson in the direct — less than fourteen days after we got to watch her at a set of images. It sketches the movie’s premise, that of a former US Air Force pilot named Carol Danvers (Larson) who returns to Earth from the mid-1990s after spending years with an elite alien army team named Starforce, but has trouble recalling her past while being in the middle of a galactic war between two alien factions.

Midway during the first Captain Marvel teaser trailer, a much younger Nick Fury (a digitally, de-aged Samuel L. Jackson) — he is a low-level officer, much from his days as S.H.I.E.L.D. manager and does not yet have the iconic eyepatch — asks Danvers:”So you are not from around here?” To which she answers:”It’s difficult to explain.” The trailer has glimpses of worlds other than Earth, futuristic spaceships belonging to the Kree alien race, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, chief of the Skrulls that infiltrates S.H.I.E.L.D., and possibly even that pager that Fury used in that the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War.

“I’m not what you believe I am,” Danvers states towards the end, right before we get a shot of her entire body lighting up like a ball of fire, which offers another glance in her superhuman abilities that include”energy projection and absorption” in the comics. Captain Marvel is not going to become a conventional source narrative, together with Danvers already having her powers when we first meet her in the film. But given the many tiny flashbacks in the trailer and Danvers attempting to gather the pieces of her past while back on Earth, it is a fair guess that we are going to see her origin told in some sort.

Boden and Fleck worked on the script in addition to Meg LeFauve (Inside Outside ), Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Tomb Raider), and Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch (GLOW).

Captain Marvel is supposed to release March 8, 2019 in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The character is also part of the as-yet untitled Avengers 4 in May 2019.
