PS4 and Xbox One copies of Anthem are being marketed early in parts of the world such as the Middle East, what with enterprising retailers taking to Instagram to post its instant availability. While the game’s servers are already live for PC and Xbox One, thanks to their early access release through Origin Premier, Origin accessibility, or EA Access on February 15, this would allow PS4 proprietors in addition to Xbox One users not subscribed to EA accessibility to set up it and prepare themselves to the enormous Anthem day one spot.
For what its worth, Anthem isn’t worth picking up in its current state if our period with the game is any sign. There are a host of design and technical issues that make playing BioWare’s latest much out of a enjoyable adventure. With Destiny two seeing a ton of improvements and The Division two seeming to be promising, there is little reason to spend time into Anthem until its updates fix its plethora of issues, which makes us wonder why the game was released in the state it’s in to start with. More so when you consider EA CEO Andrew Wilson’s comments regarding Anthem’s shift in launch date in 2018.
“No matter how it’s being portrayed, we are not seem at this as a delay, we have selected to start Anthem in [the fourth quarter]. The date is chosen by portfolio balance, not product openness,” EA CEO Andrew Wilson said at a call to investors at the time. “And we’re really excited by how the new Battlefield is forming up. It likely does not make too much sense to start Anthem right by it. As a new IP, it probably makes sense to give [Anthem] its launch window”
Anthem India release date
Contemplating EA’s India distributor is Amazon, it is unlikely that we will see the game release early. If anything, expect Amazon to provide Anthem on launch date at best. Reason being, its track record has been far from constant, just being able to launch FIFA 19 punctually later delaying FIFA 16, 17, and 18.
